Murphy's Newsletter
Fall 2008

So travel back with me to late summer 2008. Above we have Murphy and Owen hanging out on my parents back patio. Now, in the present day, Owen no longer looks anything like that and my parents no longer live in this house, but that's neither here nor there! Back at this time Murphy and Owen were having a great time hanging out before dinner on the patio. Then came dessert:

Above we have Murphy "supervising"...very intently.

He knows just when to sneak in for a taste of ice cream, something I've denied him for five years at this point.

Luckily Owen found it funny.

But Murphy does get tired quickly from being so good around the baby, so he went in to the kitchen to have a rest:

And speaking of resting, it's something Murphy is doing more and more of now that he's getting older. Below we have him perched on the couch:

And next we have him "helping" with the laundry. I believe he stole this one out of the dirty pile and just hung out with it on the couch:

Now, for some reason, this is out of order, as it goes back to August. Murphy seemed to enjoy the summer Olympics...and by "enjoy" I mean he barked like a crazy man every time there was sudden movement. Which there is a lot of in sports, as I'm sure you know. Below we have him watching diving:

And I think I've finally found out why Murphy barks like a maniac at nothing out the window - it's the reflection of the tv! And that only took me 3 years to figure out!

Ok, skipping forward again, this takes us to November, and Owen's second birthday. The whole family headed down to Poulsbo to celebrate. Below we have Murphy trying to stare the goldfish crackers out of Owen's hand and into his mouth:

He must have managed to get some...or he tried to eat the wooden food from Owen's pretend pizza!

Owen received some cool presents - here are the ones he got from us:

A cute little apron with dinosaurs on it, for when he helps Allie in the kitchen.

Owen is such a busy little kid. Above we have him scurrying away before I could get another shot of him.

And my parents bought him a tricycle. Murphy was keeping his distance!

A quick update. Next is Christmas 2008, with an absolutely insane amount of snow - Murphy was in heaven!
